It becomes a celebration of what is possible when commitment meets opportunity, and when a college truly believes in the people it educates.
VASS College is proud to announce the successful completion of its 2026 Graduation Ceremony, honouring graduates from five nationally recognised qualification programs across community services, childcare, and education support. Held at our Broadmeadows campus, the ceremony brought together graduates, their families, VASS College staff, management and board members for an afternoon of recognition, pride, and genuine joy

Qualifications Celebrated at the 2026 Ceremony
Diploma of Community Services
The Diploma of Community Services prepares graduates for leadership and case management roles across a broad range of community service settings, including mental health, disability, aged care, family services, and social welfare. Graduates are equipped to assess client needs, develop care plans, and advocate effectively for the people they support. This qualification opens doors to senior roles across the community sector and further study pathways.
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care prepares graduates for leadership roles in childcare centres, kindergartens, and early education settings. Graduates develop advanced skills in curriculum planning, child development, family partnerships, and team leadership, qualifying them to work as room leaders, educational leaders, and centre directors across Victoria’s rapidly growing early childhood sector.
Certificate IV in Education Support
The Certificate IV in Education Support equips graduates to work as teacher’s aides and education support officers in primary and secondary school settings. Graduates develop expertise in supporting students with diverse learning needs, assisting classroom teachers, and contributing to inclusive educational environments. This qualification is increasingly in demand across Victorian government and independent schools.
Certificate III in Individual Support
The Certificate III in Individual Support is the foundational qualification for careers in aged care, disability support, and home care. Graduates are trained to provide person-centred care, assist with daily living activities, and support clients to live independently in the community. This qualification directly feeds into the NDIS workforce and the broader aged care sector, two of Australia’s fastest-growing employment areas.
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is the entry-level qualification for working in childcare centres, family day care, and occasional care settings. Graduates are trained to provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate care and education for children from birth to five years, working alongside qualified educators to deliver high-quality early learning programs.
The Ceremony: A Day Filled with Pride and Celebration
Certificate Presentations
The centrepiece of the ceremony was the formal presentation of certificates, with each graduate called to the stage to receive their qualification in front of their peers, their loved ones, and the VASS College community. The moment of holding that certificate, a physical symbol of months or years of study, sacrifice, and perseverance, was visibly moving for many graduates.
Graduates were joined on stage by VASS College leadership and staff, who presented certificates with warmth and personal acknowledgement of each graduate’s journey. Many graduates were also accompanied by family members who had supported them through their studies, a reminder that graduation is never just a personal achievement, but a family and community one as well.
Flowers, Photographs, and Shared Joy
Throughout the ceremony and in the celebrations that followed, the room was filled with the kind of joy that comes from a milestone genuinely earned. Graduates posed for photographs on stage. Families gathered around their graduates for group photos in front of the VASS backdrop. Staff and graduates embraced, congratulated each other, and reflected on the journeys that had brought everyone to this moment.
Why This Graduation Matters
VASS College has always been more than a training organisation. It is a place where people many of whom face significant barriers to education, including language, cultural background, financial pressure, and family responsibility, are given a genuine, supported pathway to qualifications that change lives.
For many of our 2026 graduates, this qualification represents far more than a piece of paper. It represents a career that was previously out of reach. It represents the confidence to walk into a job interview and say: I am qualified. I am ready. It represents the pride of a family watching one of their own walk across a stage in a cap and gown, often for the first time in their family’s history.
The community services and early childhood education sectors are facing significant workforce shortages across Victoria and Australia. VASS College graduates are not simply earning qualifications they are stepping into roles that are urgently needed, that make a tangible difference to vulnerable people’s lives, and that offer genuine long-term career pathways.

The qualification you hold in your hands is yours hard-won, fully earned, and the beginning of something new.
